Mobile sessions are beneficial for many reasons...

1. Assessments / therapy in a familiar environment to the child means they feel more comfortable and we are am more likely to get a realistic picture of what is going on.

2. The convenience factor for families makes this journey even more accessible and achievable, particularly in our busy schedules. It is easier to attend an appointment at a location you are already therefore eliminating your own need to travel/park.

Little Ones Speech Pathology provides the following services:

• Assessment of speech, language, voice, fluency and communication other areas.

• Speech pathology screening services (non-diagnostic) with the goal to investigate if further assessment and intervention is warranted.

• Therapy sessions including the development and implementation of personalised therapy plans, goals, resources and parent training/support.

• Individual or group training, workshops and/or seminars for parents, teachers, educators and Speech Pathologists.

• Provision of written reports/documentation including but not limited to reports for assessments, therapy progress, screenings, Medicare, NDIS, handover and discharge from the service.

• Collaboration with family members, caregivers, and other professionals (such as medical and allied health professionals, educators and school teachers) as required and with permission.

Assessment Sessions

• Standard 60 Minute Assessment $285

Note: Typically a quote will be provided for an initial assessment fee/booking. The price will vary depending on the length of the appointment required. Once the various factors of your individual situation have been taken into account (e.g. the age and temperament of the child, the number and complexity of the areas to be assessed) a time and price schedule will be agreed on prior to an initial assessment booking.

• Medicare Reporting Fee $95*

*One off fee of $95 for liaising with your GP and time taken for mandatory report writing to Medicare

Note: If out of the Sutherland or St George Areas/scheduled days then additional travel fees may apply

NDIS Services

• Make contact directly to discuss rates for providing NDIS sessions (guided by NDIS Pricing Arrangements which are subject to change)

No. There are no travel fees if you are attending an appointment in the Sutherland Shire to St George area on the allocated scheduled days.

The exceptions are...

• If you are out of the Sutherland Shire or St George area

• If you require an appointment in the Sutherland Shire or St George area for a date and time when we are not scheduled to be in the area

• if you are on an NDIS plan, in which case this may or may not incur travel fees, please make contact directly to discuss further.

Please note: In the above situations, travel fees are determined on a case by case basis.

Take advantage of a 15 minute Discovery Call. This is a phone or video conferencing call prior to making any booking to see if this service is a right fit for you.

Topics typically include

• Your concerns as a parent for your child

• Your referral source (teacher, doctor etc)

• Relevant background information about your child including their interests, personality and speech pathology journey so far (if any)

• Questions about Little Ones session availability, costs, approach etc

• What you have tried so far, what has or has not worked with any previous therapists

• Discussion about where you would prefer the sessions to take place (home, school, clinic)

• Medicare or NDIS plans (if you have one or how to access one)

You will be working closely with your therapist. To get maximum results you will want to find someone who you feel comfortable with and who is going to work well with your child and family situation. Yes, any qualified Speech Pathologists will be able to help you but to get the most from your valuable time and finances put into the sessions, its worth having a chat first before starting the journey.

Yes. Once your session is paid in full, an invoice with payment receipt will be issued to you via email. You can claim back a rebate from your health fund using this. The amount will vary depending on your fund and level of coverage

You will need to book into your family GP and ask you are are eligible for a CDM (Chronic Disease Management) Plan.

You can ask the GP to allocate the referral to Little Ones Speech Pathology. The plan will give you up to 5 sessions per year to use. These will be bulk billed against the actual in person session time, however please note there is a one off charge of $95 to cover time spent talking with your GP about your case and providing mandatory reporting to Medicare.
